Terms of sale

What applies when you buy custom parts or shop items from Fabriken, as a consumer or a business.

1. Who we are

Fabriken is run by Sunread Sweden AB, org. no. [FILL], [FILL: address], Sweden. Invoices and contracts say "Fabriken LABS c/o Sunread Sweden AB". Contact: order@fabrikenlabs.se.

These terms apply when you buy from fabrikenlabs.se, in the app, in the shop or through our API. If you buy as a consumer, you always keep your rights under Swedish law; nothing in these terms limits them. Section 10 lists what is different for business customers.

2. What we sell

  • Custom parts: we 3D print a part from a file you upload, in the material, colour, layer height, infill and quantity you choose.
  • Shop items: products we design and print ourselves.

3. Prices and quotes

  • Prices are in Swedish kronor. Private customers see prices including VAT (25%). Business customers see prices excluding VAT, with VAT added on the invoice.
  • A quote for a custom part is locked for 24 hours. A price we set by hand (Request price) is valid for the time stated in our answer.
  • Shipping is priced in the checkout from the carrier you choose. Shipping is free on orders from 1 000 kr including VAT.
  • Discounts: volume prices for more units of the same part, a test print at a reduced price (one unit of a part, once per part and account), and discount codes. Discounts are shown in the cart before you pay. A price set by hand gets no volume price or test print discount, but a discount code still applies.

4. Ordering and payment

  • You pay through Kustom Checkout, by card, Klarna or another method it offers. Kustom's own terms apply to the payment method you choose.
  • The agreement is made when we confirm your order by email after the payment is approved.
  • We reserve the amount when you order and only charge it when your parts ship.
  • We may cancel an order before printing starts, for example if a file cannot be printed safely or breaks section 7. You then pay nothing.

5. Printing and delivery

  • We print around the clock. The checkout shows when your order is expected to print, from the live queue. It is an estimate, not a promise.
  • Every part is checked and weighed before it is packed.
  • We ship through the carrier you choose in the checkout. Delivery times are the carrier's.
  • The risk for the goods passes to you when you, or someone you name, receive them.
  • If your order is more than 30 days late, or a later date we agree, you may cancel it and get your money back.

6. Right of withdrawal

  • Shop items: 14 days from the day you receive them, under the Distance Contracts Act (lag 2005:59). Tell us at order@fabrikenlabs.se or with the standard withdrawal form. Send the item back within 14 days of telling us. You pay the return shipping. We refund you within 14 days of your notice, but may wait until the item is back. We may reduce the refund if the item has been handled more than needed to check it.
  • Custom parts: these are made to your specifications, so the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply (lag 2005:59, chapter 2, section 11, point 3). As a promise of our own, you may cancel a custom order free of charge until printing starts.

7. Your files

  • You confirm that you have the right to have the part printed, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, design, patent or trademark.
  • We do not print weapons or weapon parts, items made to look like weapons, items meant to break the law, or [FILL: anything else]. We may refuse any file without giving a reason, and then you pay nothing.
  • We use your file only to price and print your order. It is stored in the EU. Our privacy policy says how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.

8. What a printed part is like

  • Parts are made by FDM printing: thin plastic layers you can see and feel, small marks where supports or the build plate touched, and slight differences in colour between batches of filament.
  • Sizes follow your file within the normal tolerance of the process, about [FILL: ±0.2 mm or 0.5%, whichever is larger].
  • For custom parts, you choose the design, material and settings. We check that the file can be printed, not that the part is strong enough or fits its purpose.

9. Complaints

  • If something is wrong with what you received, contact us at order@fabrikenlabs.se with your order number and a photo. Tell us within a reasonable time after you notice the fault. Within two months is always in time.
  • As a consumer you may complain about faults for three years from delivery (Consumer Sales Act, konsumentköplagen 2022:260). A fault that shows within two years is presumed to have been there at delivery, unless that does not fit the kind of goods or fault.
  • We reprint, repair or refund, as the law sets out. We pay the cost of returning a faulty item.
  • If we cannot agree, you can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se).

10. Business customers

When you buy for your business (an account of type business, or through the API with a business key):

  • The right of withdrawal in section 6 does not apply.
  • Complaints follow the Sale of Goods Act (köplagen 1990:931). Tell us about a fault within a reasonable time, and at the latest [FILL: 30 days] after delivery.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or production stops. Our total liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it.
  • You pay through Kustom Checkout. Monthly invoicing comes later, by separate agreement.
  • Use of the API also follows our API terms. [FILL: link once they exist]

11. Law and disputes

Swedish law applies. Disputes go to a Swedish general court, unless they are resolved by the National Board for Consumer Disputes.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies is the one shown when you place your order.
